About us

Hello, we are Samantha and Mario. Together, we have a little son, Luca (2023). It’s probably no surprise, but we love to travel and explore new places and cultures. We are adventurous and enjoy going on trips, whether it’s hiking, cycling, or visiting small towns. We are usually found somewhere in nature or at fun spots.

Before we had children, we traveled a lot. For example, Samantha went to Australia between her studies. After her Master’s, she traveled for 6 months through South America. Mario mostly went on long-distance trips during his vacations. He has visited India, Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia, Peru, and the U.S. multiple times. We’ve also taken several long trips together. In addition, we really enjoyed seeking adventure closer to home by discovering beautiful places in Europe.

Traveling with Children

When Luca was born, we still wanted to keep traveling. We strongly believe that you can still travel with (young) children. Of course, it requires some adjustments and it can bring some challenges, but it’s definitely not impossible. It’s mostly a matter of trying and getting your children used to going on trips. If you’re a bit flexible with naps, meals, etc., at home, your children will also be fairly flexible while traveling.

Traveling with a child made our trips even more enjoyable. You don’t only see the world through your own eyes, but also through your child’s eyes. It’s so beautiful to see your child discovering the world. In addition, we especially enjoy family life during our travels. You’re completely in your own bubble with your family, and you have all the time for each other. You make the most beautiful memories for your child to cherish later.

About Little Nomads

We love to share our experiences about traveling with children. That’s why we started this travel blog, ‘Little Nomads,’ in 2024. On one hand, it’s for inspiration for other travel-loving parents, and on the other hand, it’s for ourselves, so we can always look back on our family travels. We are here not only for the adventurous parent who is already traveling or has booked a trip, but also for parents who want to travel with their children but aren’t quite sure about it yet.
